The embassy advised that the Vietnamese citizens working and living in Lebanon should take the commercial flights when they are still operational and available.
For those that cannot depart due to force majeure, they should remain vigilant, keep updated with the latest developments, limit going to crowded places, and avoid approaching the likes of the Lebanon-Israel border, the southern areas of Beirut, and the northern regions near the border with Syria.
They were recommended to find shelters in safe areas and prepare foods and medicines if the situation worsens.
Vietnamese citizens should also halt or cancel their plans to travel to the Middle East country until the situation stabilizes.
The embassy will continue keeping a close watch at the situation and remain in touch with Vietnamese nationals in Lebanon, and come up with emergency plans.
The diplomatic agency will also be prepared to take measures for evacuating and protecting Vietnamese citizens in Lebanon.
In case of emergency and assistance needed, citizens should contact the embassy via the hotline: 20 102 613 9869; the Vietnamese Honourary Consulate of Vietnam in Lebanon: 961 70 229 300; or the citizen protection hotline: 84 981 84 84 84.
Following the rising tensions between Israel and the Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel on the same day warned Vietnamese nationals in the country to be highly alert.
The embassy stressed that people need to closely monitor the latest news through trusted local media sources, and stay away from potentially unsafe areas, especially those in northern Israel under threat of attacks.
Vietnamese people across Israel, especially those living in northern cities, must strictly follow local authorities’ orders and measures, and make plans for the safety of themselves and their families.
They should also keep regular contact with the embassy. In case of emergencies or if assistance is needed, they are advised to contact the embassy's citizen protection hotline immediately for information on available support measures.
