Vietnam Union Association in Japan contributes to homeland development

Since its establishment, the VUAJ has played a crucial role in connecting Vietnamese associations in Japan, proactively carrying out activities to create a closely-knit community, enhance the image of Vietnamese people in Japan.

On October 9, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chair of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Le Thi Thu Hang met with a delegation from the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Union Association in Japan (VUAJ), led by Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, the association's president.

Dr. Nguyen Hong Son discussed the situation of the Vietnamese community and the activities of Vietnamese associations in Japan, emphasizing that the teaching and learning of the Vietnamese language have been implemented effectively and vigorously. He also informed about the summary of the first term (2023-2025) and preparations for the second congress of the VUAJ, urging the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese to enhance support for the VUAJ and Vietnamese associations in Japan regarding information dissemination and publicizing their activities.

Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang praised the rapid and outstanding development of the Vietnamese community in Japan, highlighting its strengths in youth, creativity, and intellectual resources in important new fields.

Since its establishment, the VUAJ has played a crucial role in connecting Vietnamese associations in Japan, proactively carrying out activities to create a closely-knit community, enhance the image of Vietnamese people in Japan, and harness the knowledge and resources of overseas Vietnamese to contribute to the construction and defense of the homeland.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese is ready to support the proposals from the VUAJ and other Vietnamese associations in Japan, encouraging the VUAJ to continue close coordination and timely communication with the Committee and Vietnamese representative agencies in Japan. She expressed the hope that the VUAJ would further enhance its pivotal role in connecting Vietnamese associations in Japan and implement meaningful activities to build and develop the community while actively participating in repatriation initiatives organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese and other domestic agencies.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang also expressed her sincere gratitude to the community and Vietnamese associations in Japan for their prompt and active response to the call for support for people affected by the recent Yagi storm in Vietnam.
