Nguyen The Hiep, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, stressed that the department has launched several initiatives aimed at helping producers effectively market their products.
“In collaboration with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and other agencies, the department has focused on addressing the challenges faced by businesses while also recognizing those that offer high-quality goods and services,” he said.
He added that to facilitate connections between Vietnamese goods and consumers, the department has organized a variety of trade activities. These include mobile sales events, Vietnamese market fairs, and product showcases, all aimed at boosting trade promotion and improving product accessibility.
The Deputy Director highlighted the "Vietnamese Goods Loved by Consumers" fair as a key example, providing a platform for local businesses to showcase their products and engage directly with consumers. This initiative not only supports brand promotion but also includes a voting program that allows consumers to recognize and celebrate their favorite Vietnamese products.
Hanoi is leading the way in promoting the “Vietnamese People Give Priority to Using Vietnamese Goods” campaign.
Over the past 15 years, local government agencies and organizations have implemented comprehensive communication strategies to engage local consumers effectively. These efforts have fostered a culture of consumption among Vietnamese people, especially in the city.
Throughout this period, numerous Vietnamese Goods Weeks have been organized in various districts, showcasing a wide range of high-quality products with diverse designs. Consumers attending these events benefit from competitive pricing thanks to special promotional offers, which help elevate the status of domestic goods in the marketplace.
Localities are intensifying their efforts to support production, business, and consumption. These initiatives aim to stimulate demand and drive economic growth, with a particular focus on promoting agricultural products, local specialties, and handicrafts.
For the upcoming year, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade has ambitious plans to launch 73 programs and events. These initiatives will focus on delivering quality goods to suburban areas, ensuring that consumer needs are met while also enhancing brand visibility for participating businesses.
