The Deputy Prime Minister has directed the Hanoi People's Committee to collaborate with the Ministry of Science and Technology to establish operational regulations for the park, which will be submitted to the Prime Minister for approval.
The planning phase will involve assessing and approving the construction layout and boundaries to ensure alignment with the designated area.
Additionally, a management body under the Hanoi People's Committee will be formed to oversee the park's effective operation.
Originally approved in February 2009, the HaBiotech project has a projected total investment exceeding US$1 billion. Of this, $250 million is earmarked for technical infrastructure and service facilities, including high-rise apartments and dormitories, while the remainder will fund specialized equipment for laboratories, research centers, and universities.
This development aims to position Hanoi as a key player in biotechnology innovation, supporting the growth of high-tech industries in Vietnam.
