During the meeting, Tuyen praised the visit, which coincided with a training course being organized by the Hanoi Federation of Labor for the Vientiane and Luong Prabang Federations of Trade Unions.

She noted that the current training program includes many new elements and commended the Hanoi Federation of Labor for its dedication. Despite dealing with the aftermath of Typhoon No. 3, they have focused on preparing the training for the Vientiane Capital Federation of Trade Unions.

She emphasized the long-standing solidarity and cooperation between the two trade unions of Hanoi and Vientiane, which has been strengthened over the years. She expressed confidence that the upcoming five-year cooperation agreement between the two federations will further deepen this relationship, fostering valuable exchanges of experience—an essential factor in the current era of international integration.

Tuyen also informed the delegation of new cooperation initiatives between Hanoi and Vientiane and affirmed that Hanoi will continue to create favorable conditions for specialized agencies, including the Hanoi Federation of Labor and the Vientiane Capital Federation of Trade Unions, to collaborate. This, in turn, will contribute to the enhancement of the special traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos and elevate the partnership between Hanoi and Vientiane to new heights.

In response, Dao Phet Aroune, President of the Vientiane Capital Federation of Trade Unions, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and was honored to visit and work with the Hanoi Party Committee. He also appreciated the opportunity to participate in the training course.

Agreeing with Deputy Secretary Tuyen's remarks, he acknowledged the effectiveness of the 2022 memorandum of cooperation between the two capitals and commended the valuable insights provided in this year's training. He expressed hopes for the course to delve further into areas such as the application of digital technology in trade union member management, building trade unions in the new era, and economic strategies for trade union organizations.

On this occasion, President Dao Phet Aroune conveyed greetings from Vientiane Party Secretary Anouphap Tounalom to the key leaders of Hanoi.

Agreeing with Dao Phet Aroune’s comments, Deputy Secretary Nguyen Thi Tuyen expressed confidence that Hanoi Federation of Labor President Pham Quang Thanh and the course instructors will provide useful insights, offering valuable practical knowledge and experience to the participants regarding trade union activities.
