HANOI INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION
Ahn Kyong Hwan, a South Korean professor and director of foreign affairs at Nguyen Trai University, has been deeply connected to Vietnam since his first arrival in Hanoi 35 years ago.

His writing with title "Hanoi is a Golden Star in My Heart," won a special prize in the 2024 "Hanoi in My Heart" writing contest, organized by the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO).
The contest attracted numerous participants, including diplomats and foreign students, showcasing their emotional ties to Hanoi through nearly 200 submissions. According to Tran Thi Phuong, Vice President of HAUFO, many contestants demonstrated impressive Vietnamese language skills and a profound understanding of the city's history and culture.
The competition awarded a total of 50 outstanding essays, with Ahn's work highlighted for its unique perspective as a foreign scholar. The first prizes were awarded to the Palestinian ambassador Saadi Salama for "Another Hanoi" and Mei Leng from China for "Hanoi in My Eyes."
The event also included a peace and friendship melody festival, celebrating Hanoi's diverse culture and fostering people-to-people diplomacy, with various performances recognized for their contributions.
