"Hanoi greatly values Egyptian businesses and is committed to offering ideal conditions for their investments and operations in our city, known as a 'City of Peace' and a 'Creative City,’” said Vice Secretary Tuyen. Mohamed Hedaya, a senior representative of the Giza Chamber of Commerce, noted the cultural and historical ties between Egypt and Vietnam, celebrating their resilient relationship. The recent cooperation agreement between Hanoi and Cairo further highlights this growing partnership. Today’s forum, he said, is an invaluable opportunity for Egyptian and Cairo-based businesses to network, exchange ideas, and learn more about Hanoi and Vietnam’s investment environment, policies, and opportunities.
The forum included lively discussions on investment potential in sectors like pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and ways to boost bilateral trade. Egyptian businesses showed a strong interest in fostering meaningful cooperation with Hanoi, eager to explore new opportunities.
During their visit, the Hanoi delegation also met with the Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt. Ambassador Nguyen Huy Dung provided an overview of Vietnam-Egypt relations, outlining key joint projects and potential areas for further collaboration with Hanoi. Vice Secretary Tuyen commended the Embassy’s work in advancing Vietnam-Egypt relations through high-profile events and initiatives and expressed her hope that the Embassy would continue to facilitate exchanges at various levels. She encouraged efforts to boost tourism, trade, and investment between Hanoi and Cairo, as well as to support the Vietnamese community in Egypt and neighboring regions for stable, secure livelihoods.
