Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji to perform at Hanoi concert

Hanoi Concert: Doai Melody is a special musical event dedicated to Doai cultural region as an important part of Hanoi.

On October 19, Hanoi Concert: Doai Melody will be held at the walking street of Son Tay Ancient Citadel by Hanoi Radio and Television.

The program will take audiences to learn about the exchange, integration and development of the culture of the Doai region with the culture of Thang Long-Hanoi today through two parts.

Part 1 includes songs dedicated to Son Tay, center of Doai, arranged by musician Tran Manh Hung, conducted by Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji.

In part 2 of this special program, Hanoi Radio and Television will present some world-famous classical works including Hungarian Dance No. 6, In a Persian market, Symphony No. 5 in D minor, Op. 47 and March of the Swiss Soldiers, performed by conductor Honna Tetsuji and the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.

The program has the participation of famous singers Lan Anh, Vu Thang Loi, Dinh Trang, Bao Yen, Bel Canto group, Tuan Anh. Audience can enjoy the program on Channel H1, FM96 radio system, Hanoi Radio and Television’s digital platforms and HanoiON app.

For many centuries, the strip of land to the west of Hanoi has been known as the Doai area, one of the four major towns of Thang Long Capital.

The Doai area boasts a great deal of heritage, including Duong Lam ancient village, Huong pagoda and Tay Phuong pagoda, traditional handicraft villages, folk singing and Cheo Tau (traditional opera). Son Tay town is the place where the cultural heritage values ​​of Doai area converge and spread. Doai culture is the pride of the people in the west of the Capital.

After 16 years Ha Tay Province merged into Hanoi, the cultural quintessence of Doai is still preserved and increasingly developed. Doai culture has blended and blended with Thang Long culture to contribute to creating the richness and uniqueness of the capital.

Many heritages of the Doai region are exploited for tourism, many types of folk performing arts are playing a role as a resource of the cultural industry, the material to create today's creative city.
