According to the Peruvian Embassy in Vietnam, this special music performance celebrates the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Peru (November 14, 1994 - 2024).

The program will feature Lenin Tamayo - a talented singer, composer and music producer, known as the founder of the Q'pop (Quechua Pop) music genre.

Lenin Tamayo merges the Quechua language—Peru's most ancient and widely spoken indigenous tongue—with a modern K-pop style, creating a bridge between tradition and contemporary music. Through his work, Tamayo not only preserves and promotes the Quechua language but also shares Peru's rich cultural heritage with a wider audience.

Joining Lenin Tamayo at this event is Yolanda Pinares, a star in Peruvian contemporary folk music. With her soulful performance and unique musical talent, the artist will take the audience on an emotional journey, connecting the past and present of Peru's diverse culture.

In addition to traditional Peruvian melodies, the event also features two talented Vietnamese artists: Vu Hien, known as the "fire keeper" of classical guitar in the capital, and Phan Thuy, a professional pipa player and lecturer at the Vietnam National Academy of Music.

Joining them will be two dancers from Peru and two from the Sud Crew dance group, one of the oldest and most influential dance groups in the Vietnamese community. This collaboration promises to deliver exciting and emotional performances.

This event offers the public the opportunity to enjoy top-notch artistic displays and marks an important milestone in strengthening cultural cooperation between Peru and Vietnam. It is part of a series of activities celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, highlighting their friendship and comprehensive cooperation in various fields.

In addition to the main performance at the Hanoi Opera House, a special public show will be held at 6:30 p.m. on October 24 at Hanoi University.

Audiences can register to receive invitation tickets on the Peruvian Embassy's Facebook page.
